When the president hears that an old friend has been abducted and the ransom demand is the release of a known Islamic agitator.
The French government is indifferent. It’s just another kidnapping for ransom and would be handled as such by the Gendarmerie, an almost certain death sentence for Gaines. That’s when the Penrose team is alerted. Henri Belleau gathers a team of operators, and they head to Paris. Once there, they find out that the person behind the kidnapping is an Imam from Marseille who needs cash to complete his growing footprint in Paris.
The situation worsens after Gaines is rescued. The jihadists start killing Americans, and Penrose is sent back to France to rescue American diplomats.
